Lime Plaster (Base)

Premixed (wet), non-hydraulic, hot-mixed, traditional lime putty base & float coat lime plaster with fibres for sympathetic conservation repairs to historic lime plasterwork.

Lime Plaster (Base) is hot-mixed at a ratio of 1:4 (Quicklime:Sand) which is an equivalent of a 1:2 (Lime Putty:Sand) mix when bagged.

Suitable onto: Lime base coats, Riven & Sawn laths, soft and porous historic Brick, Stone & Masonry.

NB. Lime Plaster (Base) is only recommended for internal use.

Coverage:

25kg bag will cover approx:

0.85m2 onto laths and 1.25m2 onto level masonry or as a float coat @ 10mm thick.

1000kg bag will cover approx:

40m2 onto laths and 50m2 onto masonry or as a float coat @ 10mm thick.

NB. Our quality lime products are from naturally occurring raw materials and on occasion aggregates and lime may differ slightly from batch to batch in colour and texture. Every effort is made to produce a consistent product as part of our own factory controlled procedures and quality control. It is strongly recommended to test a small amount of material, in situ, to assess suitability and performance and purchase adequate amounts of product from the same batch to fulfil any job.
